Robert Testagrossa, a leading software developer and entrepreneur from New York City, recently launched – The Robert P. Testagrossa Foundation – a private charitable foundation aimed at strengthening the community of New York City by supporting its disadvantaged population. He has donated $2 million to the Foundation in its initial year.
The mission of The Robert P. Testagrossa Foundation, which is officially incorporated and made its debut in December 2021, is to make the Big Apple community stronger by concentrating on strategies for reducing harm and investing in community-oriented programs.
The Foundation has three core areas of focus:
- Substance abuse prevention and treatment
- Successful reentry following incarceration
- More opportunities for society’s disadvantaged individuals
Testagrossa said he hopes the Foundation will maximize its impact by tackling the sources of some of the most common problems in New York City. Through these efforts, the Foundation can create a more just and safer world for each community member, enhancing outcomes for both individuals and New York City’s community overall, according to Testagrossa.
The Foundation’s board of directors includes Robert Testagrossa, the president; Vice President Charles Testagrossa, his father; Secretary Jamie Toohill; and Treasurer James McVay.
