Pen Boutique Debuts Exclusive Limited-edition Conklin Pen to Celebrate 15th Anniversary

The Conklin All-American Collection Pen in Rosewood is exclusive to Pen Boutique and marked with a limited edition number. The pen marks the 15th anniversary of the Maryland-based store.

Just 15 years ago, Leena Shrestha-Menon was an unemployed young mother from Nepal residing in Maryland. She followed her passion for fine writing instruments and, against all odds, opened a pen shop. Today, she is marking 15 years of success with a limited edition Conklin Pen that is exclusive to her shop.
When Leena decided to turn her love of fine pens into a business, she met with significant resistance. Eight banks denied her request for a loan, and she had trouble finding a retail manager to rent space to her. Her persistence has paid off through her award-winning shop that is going strong, both as a brick-and-mortar pen store in Columbia, Maryland and a renowned e-shop for pens, stationery, and personalized gifts.
Leena said that the Conklin All-American Collection Pen is the perfect way to mark 15 years of success. “I wasn’t your standard entrepreneur when I got this business rolling, and this is not a standard pen. There are only 398 of these pens worldwide, and they are engraved with their limited edition number on the cap.”
The limited edition Conklin pen is distinguished with real rosewood from Zambia, Africa and rose gold trim. The Conklin All-American name is subtly engraved on the barrel of the pen and comes with a nib grade of the customer’s choice and a convertor (compatible with international cartridges). It is available as a fountain or rollerball pen.
Pen Boutique distinguished itself by being chosen by Montblanc for its Shop-in-Shop and Signature Display experience at its Maryland location. The store also features the Graf von Faber-Castell, Cross, Visconti, Waterman, Lamy and Parker Shop-in-Shop experiences. The company is dedicated to community outreach and philanthropy. In partnership with Howard County Library, Pen Boutique helps foster the art of handwriting with fountain pens. As a cancer survivor, Leena also leads her team in supporting the American Breast Cancer Foundation based in Maryland.
