Associated Designs – Views and Spacious Gathering Spaces the Lodge Inspired Viewcrest Has it All

The Viewcrest is much larger than what’s visible from the street: a high peaked roof at center, with two lower-roofed arms extending out in a relaxed V shape. The main floor’s 2000+ square feet of living space, but what you can’t see is that it’s built on a slope. It has another 1600+ square feet of living space in the daylight basement below.

Inside, the vaulted hexagonal great room at center puts one in mind of a welcoming country lodge. Windows fill most of the three back walls, which are designed to take full advantage of breathtaking views to the rear. A suspended deck with a wooden handrail wraps across the entire rear, adding an abundance of outdoor living space for use when the weather is inviting.

Standing in the kitchen, you can still enjoy those rear views. Both of the peninsular counters that bound the kitchen are rimmed by raised eating bars. Above them is open air. The sink and dishwasher are built into one counter, while a range and oven are built into the other. A vaulted dining room, also part of the hexagonal room, is close to the kitchen and offers direct access to the elevated deck.

The owners’ suite is to the right, at the top of stairs that lead down to the Viewcrest’s daylight basement. Suite amenities include a vaulted ceiling, double doors with deck access, and a luxurious bathroom with a deep walk-in closet, double vanity, window-bright spa tub, and fully enclosed toilet and shower.

Two more bedrooms are downstairs, along with a large hexagonal recreation room, a full bathroom, and several large storage areas. A covered patio wraps across the back on this level.
