Over $1.4 Million Dollars in Citrus Groves Sold in Frostproof by Coldwell Banker Commercial Saunders Real Estate

Coldwell Banker Commercial Saunders Real Estate (CBCSRE) reported the recent sale of 12 citrus parcels in Frostproof, FL. Richard Dempsey, ALC, a sales associate of CBCSRE, secured the transactions of 231 acres with a sales price totalling over $1.4 million.

Just two weeks after Jonathan Maxcy Inc. listed 20 properties with Dempsey, over half were under contract. The average sales price was $9,000 per acre. Most parcels are healthy citrus groves that have been very well maintained, and will continue to be used to grow citrus.

Most of the parcels were purchased by a single private entity after being owned by the Maxcy Family for many years. Of the original 20 tracts Dempsey listed, six parcels are still available for sale and two more are currently under contract.

“It was a real pleasure to help a past client sell groves that have been in their family for generations,” Dempsey said of the sales. “The time for their family to sell was right, and the demand for their properties was right.”
