The Elms Hotel & Spa’s outdoor reception gazebo, which is one of the only ones of its kind in the Kansas City market, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

The Elms Hotel & Spa’s outdoor reception gazebo, which is one of the largest in the Kansas City market, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The gazebo is one of the Elms Hotel’s most popular features, and has been used for over 1,200 weddings, cocktail parties, wine tastings, and private corporate events since 1997.
“The popularity of outdoor celebrations has been growing over the last several years at the Elms Hotel, and our gazebo is proving to be an in demand location among clients from Missouri, Iowa, and Kansas for their joyous occasions,” says Andrea Foulkes, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Elms Hotel. “The experience of attending or hosting an event in our open air gazebo, which is surrounded by 16 acres of lush, wooded grounds that’s shaded by elm trees along the East Fork Fishing River, is something that we love sharing with our guests and clients.”
The floor space of the roofed gazebo is 2,623 square feet, with a 12 foot high ceiling and a capacity for 300 guests (150 covered). It has been featured in The Knot and is one of the most popular of The Elms’ cited event attractions on WeddingWire.
