5-Axis Machining Capabilities Announced by Superior Joining Technologies, Inc.

With the recent asset of Azimuth CNC, Superior Joining Technologies is pleased to announce with it’s purchase. With greater visibility in the global aerospace market as well as provide complete assembly packages internally within the organization, this new machining capability will present SJTI in a broader position.  Superior Joining Technologies, Inc. has acquired excellent precision CNC machining equipment and highly trained staff, allowing SJTI to immediately enter the machining sector of the aerospace manufacturing industry by supplying complex componentry and tight tolerance machined parts, through our existing approval and accreditations. This precision machining center is equipped with (6) DMG 5-Axis Milling Machines and has been carefully approved within our AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS).  The largest machining centers, two of the six, have a workspace capacity of up to 49” X, 34” Y, 34” in the Z-axis, capable of a number or complex machining projects.

Superior Joining Technologies, Inc. is also proudly announcing it has retained the employees currently working from the asset purchase.  This is a great advantage and a powerful benefit to the company, as it allows for immediate programming capabilities only available through an experienced workforce.  The personnel have been working with meticulously maintained, high- quality machinery from Deckel Maho and Mikron, which are widely regarded as some of the most accurate precision metalworking equipment in the world.

The new 5-Axis Machining Capability will provide diversification and a broader revenue base for the SJTI facility.  There are great synergies with the two companies evident in culture, discipline and dedication to craft and community. The joining of these two great local businesses will result in an extraordinary combination that will no doubt surpass all current expectations of productivity and growth.
