After inhabiting the New Yorker building for 15 years, historic Barbizon Modeling Studio has exceeded their seedling offices and blossomed into a new location at 1384 Broadway, New York, NY. Formerly known as the Lefcourt Normandie Building, the pre-war structure was built in 1928. The neoclassic office tower is fitted with modern conveniences wrapped in a stone façade with  large storefront windows that encapsulate the timeless aesthetic of old town New York.

The 17th floor of 1384 Broadway offices boast 10,000 square feet of space for educational and professional use as well as a stunning, full view of the Empire State Building. To benefit new and current students, Barbizon is giving their curriculum a fresh perspective, updating their technological availabilities of the new facility to accommodate a young, professional market. The new office will be adorned with a state-of-the-art photography studio, new runways and elite hair and makeup stations. A hail of new computers will update the way students are able to learn their trades while simultaneously presenting Barbizon talent to agents and the advertising community. Barbizon’s “Young Professional”program offers youth the opportunity to utilize technology to develop their professional careers with emphasis on interpersonal communication in a way that transcends the interactions of today’s social media-driven perspectives.

This transplant comes in a time of transition for the modeling studio. Barbizon aims to provide traveling students, domestic and international, with the training they need to find careers in the ever-growing entertainment industry. Barbizon NYC’s new office is the first step in cultivating this growing campaign.

For the world’s original modeling studio, unveiling a new location is an event in-and-of itself. No stranger to throwing a happening shindig, Barbizon invites students, friends and family to mingle and explore the new space, interested party-goers can RSVP at Barbizon’s website, www.barbizon.tv.
