Atlanta, Georgia (PRUnderground) September 15th, 2015

VeinInnovations invites all participants at the Atlanta Heart Walk on Saturday, September 26th to stop by the VeinInnovations tent and have their legs screened for varicose and spider veins to raise funds for the American Heart Association. For each adult screening conducted, VeinInnovations doctors and partners will donate $12 to the American Heart Association.

“We are thrilled to drive donations to the American Heart Association and raise awareness of the causes, symptoms, and ways to prevent heart disease and heart attacks, as well as being able to use this opportunity for community education about the connection between healthy legs and healthy hearts  We asked our surgeons, doctors, friends of the practice, vendors, and others to donate a dollar for every adult we screen the day of the Heart Walk” said David Martin, President and CEO of VeinInnovations. “Right now, we are at $12 per adult screened. We’d love to increase that amount and also screen at least 250 people.” Martin said.

Screening teams will be working in the VeinInnovations tent at Centennial Olympic park for the entirety of the walk. “We’re offering thousands of walkers and volunteers the opportunity to help raise money for the American Heart Association while learning if their varicose and spider veins are cosmetic or if they are symptoms of CVI – a condition easily treated and covered by most insurance companies,” Martin added.
