Warrnambool Scenic Coach Tours was formed back in 1986 by Glen Moroney, specialising in transporting people from the great Australian city of Melbourne to the town which bore the group’s name, and started making a substantial profit within a matter of months.
Before long, the Australia tours offered by the company had become amongst the most popular in the country, which led to a rebrand as Australian Scenic Tours.
Trips to New Zealand and South Africa soon followed and, by the turn of the century, Scenic Tours as we are familiar with today had been firmly established. Today, Mr Moroney is still the Managing Director of the organisation, and – with the 2008 introduction of our incredible ‘Space-Ship’ cruising vessels – has seen his original idea grow into an extraordinarily successful global venture, faithfully retaining the honest, family-run ethos with which it was launched 25 years ago.
