The Festival de Pollença takes place every year on the island of Mallorca and is a top event to combine with a villa holiday to the Balearics. Founded in 1962, and growing larger and more renowned each yeah, the Pollensa Music Festival welcomes musicians and visitors to its venues during July and August. Located on the northern most tip of Majorca, Pollensa is already one of the most popular resorts on the entire island, making the festival an added bonus whilst enjoying a villa holiday.
Predominantly a classical music festival, the festival has in the past showcased a great many artists and groups of varied styles and genres such as, Pop, rock, and Jazz. Performances take place mainly in the medieval cloisters of the Santa Domingo convent, making it a wonderfully traditional and atmospheric setting.
