The show has been running for over a decade and still remains a favourite with audiences. Stomp started life in Brighton in 1991 as the brainchild of Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas, who aimed to put together a show all about percussion, movement and visual comedy.
The production became a hit and soon went from Brighton to the West End stage. It ran for 5 years at the Vaudeville theatre, moved to the Ambassadors theatre and has now been there since 2007.
Stomp uses everyday objects to create music, from the kitchen sink to plumbers’ plungers, and 8 performers use these to make a unique sound that has entertained over 10 million people.
New routines, choreography and music have also been added since it moved theatres, so for those who have seen it before there is plenty of reason to see it again. Fortunately tickets can be booked for dates up to 22nd December 2013, so there is plenty of opportunity to see the show.
