Here at Opus Bathing Ltd we’ve noticed how there’s something about the word bespoke which can make some people recoil – usually because of a fear the product or service on offer will be too expensive.
But in actual fact, getting something bespoke is all about getting exactly what you want or more importantly, need, therefore saving money further down the line.
At Opus Bathing we’ve been in the accessible bathing market for long enough to see how the benefits of having products manufactured specifically for individual needs are unquestionable.
We’ve also seen plenty of examples of the ‘one size fits all’ approach going wrong or causing problems.
That means that we’ve taken an approach to assessing an end user, their property and requirements up front, which means we get things right first time – ultimately saving time and money in the future.
It seems fairly obvious to us that what may work for one customer won’t necessarily suit another’s needs, since not all of us are the same. So since we see each of our customers as individuals with different requirements we’ve taken an approach to providing bespoke bathing solutions which reflects that.
However, not all firms do this and there are a number of products in the market place which claim to offer bathing solutions which can meet a wide range of accessibility requirements.
At first look, these supposedly ‘all encompassing’ products may appear to sit well in a multi-use bathroom, but can actually create hazards for some users rather than the benefits they’re supposed to be providing. When these problems inevitably arise, the cost of replacing or modifying existing fittings can far outweigh the initial cost saving presented to them.
As designers and manufacturers of bespoke accessible bathing and shower units, we know we can play a huge role in helping older end users regain freedom and independence in the bathroom.
Some users can come to rely on our bespoke designs to maintain an independent lifestyle and to stay within their own home.
Having specifically tailored baths or showers gives customers choices. It can make the difference between assisted bathing with help from a carer or having a private bathing experience because the products are suitable for that person’s specific needs.
Our products are a long way from off the shelf. Where some companies have standard ranges to meet a variety of requirements, we offer choice. And we can offer choice because we make our systems to order, to end users’ specific requirements.
Rather than making an existing product fit a space, we rely on our extensive experience and come up with unique solutions for the customer.
