The Angel Inn, Wiltshire offers insight into their Steak House and Grill Menu favourites

Here at The Angel Inn, we like to think that when you’re looking for hotels in Salisbury that the way we keep an element of tradition alive entices people. Well our food menu is no different, and as we’re steeped in history and tradition wherever you look, near or far, be it be our building here, with its 18^th century history or the ancient Salisbury Plains lying just 30 minutes away, its only right that we carry on the trend. We also know it’s important to look at the more modern things too. We like to offer a blend of both, and so, here we have a few of our favourites taken from the starters and mains.

Starters:

Guinness battered calamari with punchy garlic aioli– Considered a modern favourite, Calamari has fast become a popular choice with the emergence of the Tapas culture in the UK brought over from the Mediterranean. Our delicious starter has a twist in that it has the Guinness batter giving it that extra flavour, combined with the garlic aioli, it’s simply packed full of flavour.

Chargrilled Asparagus with fried hens egg & shaved parmesan (V)– A classy vegetarian option bursting with flavour. We simply love this starter. The combination allows the flavours to complement one another. The crunch of the asparagus with the texture of the egg works wonderfully. A firm in-house favourite!

Mains:

Lagan Farm 6oz Fillet Steak – We’ve chosen this particular steak as it offers the middle of the road kind of option for our choice of prime cuts. Steak is without a doubt a traditional option, if ever there were one, and when accompanied with a classic combo of mushrooms and tomato, you know you are in for a treat. Cooked to your specification, we love the full flavour are choice cuts bring!

Lagan farm chicken breast w honey, rosemary & lime marinade with caramelised pak choi – Where to start? Well, our chicken dish is certainly the dish we’d order if you wanted to go for a lighter option than the steak. Succulent poultry, infused with a variety of flavours, all working together to satisfy even the most devoted foodie, our chef knows how to get the mouth-watering to happen! Bringing in such vibrant flavours is a modern twist to such a popular choice, and it doesn’t half taste great!
