The 2012 Bath International Music Festival

The city of Bath is highly regarded and well known for being a centre for the arts in the region. The artist line-up for 2012 will feature Elisabeth Leonskaja, The Escher String Quartet, Adriano Adewale, Valeriy Sokolov & Evgeniy Isotov, Benjamin Grosvenor, the Bath Philharmonia, Courtney Pine, the Tord Gustavsen Ensemble, Ashok Klouda, the Brighton Early Music Festival Renaissance Players, John Myerscough, Reinis Zarinš, Ruth Jenkin and Bart Lafollette, plus many more.

This fantastic festival kicks off with an opening night gala opera, the UK premiere of Vivaldi’s magical and rarely performed ‘L’Olimpiade’. This beautiful show will have a range of international opera singers performing in it, who will be accompanied by a19-strong Baroque ensemble and the award-winning company ‘La Serenissima’, the world’s foremost Vivaldi experts.
