One of the most popular river cruises in Europe currently on offer is the River Cruise Line Magical Moselle Christmas Markets trip, which is a five-day tour down the Moselle River. This trip is a snip at just £219 per person, as travellers get to experience the friendly atmosphere of this magical region whilst enjoying all the traditional seasonal German festivities.
The first tour leaves on 25th November and costs just £219 per person, and there are two other trips available: one leaving on 2nd December and the other on 9th December, costing just £225 per person each. The trip begins in Koblenz and on day two sails down to one of the most romantic parts of the Moselle Valley to Cochem, where the group can sample the wine that has recently been harvested there and take a look around the town’s stunning Christmas market.
On day three of the trip you will be able to go on an optional coach excursion to Trier and browse through the Christmas markets of Germany’s oldest city. The fourth day heads to Alken, one of the oldest parts of the Moselle area, as the group is taken to the Koblenz Christmas Market, which has more than 130 Christmas stalls for you to browse through.
On the fifth and final day you will travel home, hopefully with some last minute-goodies to give to your family and friends.
