Here at Sunrise Holiday Homes we sell predominantly to clients who wish to site the caravan on their own land, it’s our speciality! But  what other uses do these mobile homes have? Seeing as we’re all about recycling and reusing… Let’s take a look!

Holiday (home & abroad)

Of course, the original use as a holiday home will always be popular, we can site caravans on a few privately owned parks, but you’ll find it difficult to avoid the big park groups who won’t allow you to buy from a dealer and site on their park. Another great idea is to purchase a plot of land, prices in the UK are extortionate, but you can buy some beautiful plots all over Europe for very little money, we’ll ship your caravan over there and before you know it you’ll have your very own getaway whenever you wish! Residential

This is a very popular choice, especially with the cost of owning your own home! There are residential caravan parks all over the UK and more Holiday Parks are gaining planning permission to extend their season, it’s an economical and wise choice in these credit crunch times! It’s also possible to live in a mobile home on your own plot of land, get in touch for more details!

Annex

Again, thanks to the housing market more people are siting caravans in their garden for use as an annex for the kids or elderly relatives to have their own space. Provided they are not using it as their ‘only or main residence’ you can site a static caravan in your garden without planning permission! Give us a call for more detailed information.

Self Build

Our biggest clients are self builders! Of course it makes perfect sense, you can be on site at all times, keeping an eye on the builders! Making sure decisions can be made immediately, keeping your plot secure and saving potentially thousands of pounds that would’ve been spent on rented accommodation, we’ll even buy it back at a reasonable price when you’re done!

Staff Accomodation

This is a broad market, but static caravans are ideal staff units. Whether you own a farm and have seasonal workers, or you have a carer for an elderly relative, the possibilities are endless.

Shed/ workshop

Going a bit further down the price bracket you can get a dry, secure and sturdy unit for around £500 or sometimes even less which is perfect as a large shed, workshop and much more, we’ve even supplied one as a motorbike garage before!

Chicken coop

Ok, we’ve only seen this done once, but it’s a great idea! You can get scrap (or nearly scrap) worthy caravans for next to nothing and by taking out most of the interior walls (be careful!) they make great chicken coops!
