Formed in 1991, the duo of Jack Black and Kyle Gass have built a loyal cult following since they first came to the mainstream public’s attention after starring in their own TV series towards the end of the decade. This was shortly followed by their first, self-titled album in 2001, which featured ‘Tribute’ and ‘Wonderboy’, two of their most successful singles to date.
In May, Tenacious D’s first album in six years, Rize of the Fenix was released worldwide, peaking at number two on the UK Albums Chart and generating almost universal critical acclaim for its combination of witty, surreal lyrics and hard rock backing.
