Scientific Technologies Corporation and Pioneer Rx Announce Key Partnership
Integrated immunization data exchange between pharmacy and state immunization information systems
Scottsdale, Arizona (PRUnderground) July 13th, 2015
Scientific Technologies Corporation (STC) and PioneerRx are proud to announce the integration of the STC bi-directional immunization interface, ImmsLink, into the PioneerRx Pharmacy Software. This partnership will give pharmacists a quick and easy way of reporting immunizations to the appropriate state immunization information system in real time and also give them access to patient immunization histories and vaccine forecasting at the point of care. STC’s industry-leading vaccine forecaster takes the uncertainty out of recommending additional shots by validating for pharmacists overdue patient immunizations so they can enhance the patient care experience while simultaneously increasing their bottom line.
“Complying with state immunization reporting laws has been and continues to be a challenge for pharmacies across the country especially during peak flu season. Moreover, seamlessly revealing immunization intelligence to clinical pharmacists at the point of care is essential to offering and providing patients with much needed additional vaccines. By combining STC’s public health immunization registry and interoperability experience, our ImmsLink pharmacy module and PioneerRx’s industry leading pharmacy solution, this partnership addresses these challenges for PioneerRx clients across the country.” Todd Watkins, STC President
“Immunizations are a critical component of patient health. As primary healthcare providers, pharmacists will benefit from having up-to-date information to assist in this portion of their patients’ decision-making and care.” Jeff Key, Managing Director of PioneerRx
STC and PioneerRx are excited to offer the very first tightly integrated immunization reporting and clinical decision support tool available to pharmacies nationwide in June 2015.
