Seattle-based SassyBlack’s new album, Personal Sunlight, is set to release on June 30, 2015.

SassyBlack is pleased to announce that her EP Personal Sunlight will be released June 30, 2015. The album offers a brand new sound that aims to captivate audiences everywhere.
Okayplayer.com said this about the new album, “SassyBlack carves out a little open space in which to shimmy back and forth. Pianos oscillate from one speaker to the other while a flock of shakers and drums come together to make a beat that’s as tribal as it is interstellar.”
SassyBlack (Catherine Harris-White) is a singer, songwriter and producer from Seattle, Washington, by way of Hawaii. With nearly two decades of industry expertise, Black has experienced worldwide travels w/ her group THEESatisfaction. Personal Sunlight is her third solo project and second EP, which is being released independently on Bandcamp and CDBaby. In July 2015, SassyBlack heads out on a nationwide mini-tour with a larger tour to follow in the fall.

About SassyBlack
SassyBlack is a singer, songwriter, and producer from Seattle, WA. Having studied jazz vocals, she holds a degree of music from Cornish College of the Arts. Her band THEESatisfaction signed to Sub Pop Records in 2011. Since then they have released 2 albums awE naturelE (2012) & more recently EarthEE earlier this year. She currently writes for the Seattle Weekly (print) & STACKEDD Mag (online) as well as runs her own fashion line under the name Bettie Brown Goods.
