SanWood, LLC, the creator of Sweet Spot, an activity sensor for golf and tennis, is proud to announce a commitment to manufacturing the new sports technology in the United States.  The team at Sanwood has stressed the importance of keeping the device American-made since the beginning of the development and design process.  Sweet Spot was created to gamify practice and swing development for some of the nation’s most popular sports: golf, tennis, and eventually other sports such as baseball, hockey, lacrosse and more.

“We’ve made it fun for anyone to develop a basic golf or tennis swing, and encourage an active lifestyle with our Swing Away training games.  It’s important for us to keep the Sweet Spot a home-grown product,” said Eric Sanchez, CEO of SanWood, LLC. “When our Indiegogo campaign finishes on August 29th, we want all of our supporters to feel good knowing that their contribution supported manufacturing jobs the United States.”

SanWood is a hardware startup developing mobile-enabled sports technology.  Sanwood recently announced their partnership to develop Sweet Spot with another American company, Emmoco, a leader in Bluetooth smart technology. Sweet Spot connects via Bluetooth Smart to an iOS or Android app and works with a real golf club or tennis racket. Interactive training games develop users’ swing and social integration allows users to connect with friends to challenge, compete, and share accomplishments. The games teach you the fundamentals of golf and tennis while developing the key skills through the 9 level games that can be played at any age or skill level.

Supporters of the Sweet Spot Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign will be awarded the perk labeled “Made in the USA Supporters”. Anyone that donates $5 towards that perk will have their name or twitter handle posted on the supports page of the GoSweetSpot.net site, plus they will receive a custom “Sweet Spot Made in the USA” sticker to show their support for this shared mission.

Bringing friends and families together through sports is something that every person on the SanWood team values. More than just a sensor, Sweet Spot makes it fun for individuals, friends and families to learn a new sport and be active at the same time.

The Indiegogo campaign to fund the manufacturing of Sweet Spot is active right now. To view the crowdfunding campaign, visit: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/sweet-spot-activity-sensor-for-golf-tennis.

Supporters that contribute $89 or more will receive one of the first units manufactured, with delivery scheduled for December 2014. The 45 day campaign ends on August 29th.
