Sacramento Based Writer and Director Gains National Media Exposure for “Unbelievers” Movie
Trevor L. Smith's latest movie "Unbelievers" is already gaining national media attention.

Sacramento’s Trevor L. Smith, an award winning screenwriter and director, just recently wrapped his third feature film earlier this month. His latest movie, “Unbelievers”, is already gaining national media attention on MTV.com, and vast exposure on popular social media channels with the hashtag #unbelieversthemovie. Trevor directed and produced the film with his wife Kristi Smith who also grew up in the greater Sacramento area. The Smith’s own Usherance Studios in Sacramento.

The film stars former Disney Channel star Adrian R’Mante who is mostly recognized by his fans for his role of Esteban in the popular show ‘The Suite Life of Zack and Cody’. He has also had appearances on NCIS Los Angeles, 24, CSI, and a multitude of other TV shows and movies. R’Mante plays the role of Jacob Hollis.

Adrian’s co-star in the “Unbelievers” movie is no stranger to the Sacramento area as he grew up in Roseville. He is nationally recognized super model Jason Boyce. He has been seen in national ads for Target and Lexus to name a few. Boyce plays the role of Tage Craddock in Smith’s film.
The other leading actress in the movie is 12-year-old and Sacramento native, Alayna Grace who also acted in Trevor Smith’s first movie, Vigilantes.
Other actors in the movie come from LA, the San Francisco Bay area, and all around the greater Sacramento region. The movie features other recognizable talent including David Fine who is known for his role in “The Pursuit of Happyness” with Will Smith and he has over 80 credits to his name. Annika Pampel is a rising star in the Hollywood scene, and she played the role of Rasul acting side by side with Fine. Chandler Rylko of Los Angeles who was a lead in the movie “Toy Soldier” also acted in Smith’s film.
“We had an extremely talented group of actors and crew that made this movie come together. I am thrilled that we could film this movie in the Sacramento region which has been a huge part of my family’s life,” said Director Trevor L. Smith. “I look forward to the next movie we can bring to this great region.”
On the production side Trevor and Kristi Smith were joined by Paul and Kristen Counts who own Smiling Llama Productions out of Poulsbo, Washington which is near Seattle. Executive Producers included Trevor L. Smith, Paul Counts, and Eric Holmlund of Loveland, Colorado.
