Peruvian Chef Marita Lynn of ‘Marita Lynn Catering’ has been added to the lineup of chefs and culinary personalities who will be featured at this week’s Summit Wine and Food Festival, which consists of 3 days of gala tastings, culinary classes, wine and cheese discussions, and cookbook signings.
Thought to be a gastronomic capital and tapped as the next big cuisine, the multifaceted cuisine of Peru is poised to finally get the attention it deserves, and Marita Lynn is the perfect person to deliver this message at the event.
“I am thrilled to have Marita Lynn participating this year. I am a huge fan of Peruvian cuisine and Marita’s authenticity paired with her passion for organic, and farm fresh ingredients brings a new dimension of culinary excellence to the Summit Wine and Food Festival,” says Event founder and organizer, Ivan Ruiz.
Marita will be featuring the desert, a Lucuma Mousse with Pisco Chocolate Sauce, as part of the ‘Sommelier Showdown Lunch Competition’ on Saturday, September 10th, which will also feature sommeliers who not only possess extensive knowledge about food pairings, but also know about viticulture, winemaking, proper storage and service, not to mention, the geography and history of both wines and wine-producing regions.
Other culinary personalities scheduled to appear are James Beard Award winner and ‘Top Chef Masters’ contestant Douglas Rodriguez, Iron Chef Jose Garcas, Season One ‘Top Chef’ personality Dave Martin, and Food Network’s Ingrid Hoffman, Dennis Foy, James Laird, David Drake, Maricel Presilla, ‘Iron Chef’ runner-up Jehangir Mehta, Pichet Ong, Sue Torres and Wade Burch.
