Outrageous Musician/Performance Artist “Q” To Audition For “X” Factor

In what is certain to be one of the most unusual off-the-beaten-path media campaigns in recent times, the stranger than fiction performance artist/musician “Q” announces the start of a nationwide promotional effort to introduce himself/herself to the music and art world.

“Q”, (real name not disclosed) goes where no musician or artist has dared go. Wearing various disguises of male or female gender, “Q” is laying claim to a whole new spin on the rockstar/outrageous performance artist. Refusing to be identified as a member of either gender, “Q” claims to be both. “People need to label things, and they usually start with gender identity.” says the artist. “I’m bypassing that entire illusion to create my own…”

“Q”, who is a skilled vocalist, musician, composer, keyboardist, guitarist, created this alternate persona after years of being disillusioned with traditional efforts to make headway in the music world.

AUDITION PLANS FOR X-FACTOR

The promotional efforts will allegedly include showing up at the widely publicized “X-FACTOR” audition next week at The Sears Arena in Hoffman Estates, Il. In conjunction with the audition, “Q” will be releasing a single, appropriately titled “Deception”, due for release on Negative Zero Records, to be available on CD or thru mp3 download.

USING PERFORMANCE ART AND MUSIC

One of the artists main goals, says the artist/performer, is to quote: “demonstrate and unmask the phony illusion the music business has become over the years…”. In order to do this, “Q” will create various types of performance art that will include music, graphic art, public demonstrations, and a series of clues regarding his/her true identity. Also, in order to magnify the promotional campaign, “Q” states that there may be more than one of him.

EXPOSING THE ILLUSION OF THE MUSIC BUSINESS – ACKNOWLEDGING TRUE TALENT

“I will infiltrate the entertainment world using myself and others who might even masquerade as me from time to time..” says the artist. “You’ll never know how, where or when I will show up, and in what gender..the technology now exists allowing me to be media omnipotent…its time to unmask the plastic and unrealistic world of the music business and art world by showing everyone how easy it is to become famous…everyone is so enchanted with REALITY these days but they really love to be deceived….I’m about to demonstrate that there IS no such thing as reality in the entertainment business..its always been smoke and mirrors…but I’m here to celebrate that fact and finally get people to admit it…”

The artist continues, asking “if people really BELIEVE the X-FACTOR is about TALENT?” It’s only EVER about MONEY. ADVERTISER MONEY..maybe it’s time the public out there recognizes they are being DECEIVED…then, maybe we can actually move towards an entertainment music business model that really DOES focus on talent…that’s my ultimate goal…to lift the veil and let everyone know whats going on in the world….I’ll be at the X FACTOR auditions…I’ve got a positively influenced performance planned that will stun everyone and noone will see it coming……”
