Oral Cancer HPV Strains Spread through the Mouth and Genitals; CBCD Reviews the Evidence.

Industry: Health & Fitness

HPV is sexually transmitted through the oral tract by oral-oral (kissing) and oral-genital contact. (1) The CBCD recommends Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR.

A study found that “Oral human papillomavirus (HPV) infections were more common among men who had female partners with oral and/or genital HPV infection, suggesting that the transmission of HPV occurs via oral-oral and oral-genital routes.” (1) The study was conducted by McGill University, and published in the journal Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention. The study found that HPV can spread through these routes and cause cancers including cervical, vaginal, vulvar, oropharyngeal (throat/tonsil), anal, and penile cancer. Professor Eduardo L. Franco wrote that “understanding how HPV is transmitted is important because it will help us identify who is most at risk for HPV infection and how we can help them protect themselves and their partners.” (1) Professor Franco is the Director of the Division of Cancer Epidemiology at McGill University. He continued, writing that “our work provides additional evidence that HPV is sexually transmitted to the oral tract through oral-oral (kissing) and oral-genital contact.” (1) The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) recommends that HPV infected individuals take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR. The formula of these natural antiviral supplements was designed to help the immune system target the latent HPV virus.

The formula of Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the CBCD in two clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. The studies showed that the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR formula is effective against the HPV and other viruses. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the first, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs. Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with the HPV…reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR.” (2) The study authors also wrote that “we observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (2)

Both products can be ordered online on the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR websites.

Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are natural antiviral dietary supplements. Their formula contains five natural ingredients: Selenium, Camellia Sinesis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. The first ingredient is a trace element, and the other four are plant extracts. Each ingredient and its dose was chosen through a scientific approach. Scientists at polyDNA, the company that invented and patented the formula, scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals, and identified the safest and most effective natural ingredients against latent viruses. To date, Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are the only natural antiviral products on the market with published clinical studies that support their claims.

In addition to evidence that oral cancer causing HPV strains are transmitted through the mouth and oral-genital contact, it should be noted that researchers showed that poor oral hygiene was also associated with persistent oral HPV infection, according to a study published in September 2013 in the journal of Cancer Prevention Research. (3) “Researchers found that among the study participants, those who reported poor oral health had a 56 percent higher prevalence of oral HPV infection, and those who had gum disease and dental problems had a 51 percent and 28 percent higher prevalence of oral HPV infection, respectively. In addition, the researchers were able to associate oral HPV infections with number of teeth lost. Similar to genital HPV infection, oral HPV infection can be of two kinds: infection with low-risk HPV types that do not cause cancer, but can cause a variety of benign tumors or warts in the oral cavity, and infection with high-risk HPV types that can cause oropharyngeal cancers.” (4)

In addition, “being male, smoking cigarettes, using marijuana, and oral sex habits increased the likelihood of oral HPV infection. They also found that self-rated overall (poor) oral health was an independent risk factor for oral HPV infection.” (4)

“There are 109 known different types of human papillomaviruses (HPV). They cause warts and other lesions and two in particular, HPV 16 and HPV 18, cause cancers of the cervix, anus and penis, as well as the mouth and throat. Types 6 and 11 can cause lesions and genital warts.” (5)

“We believe that individuals concerned about HPV, should take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR. The formula of these natural products was tested in a post-marketing clinical study that followed FDA guidelines and was shown to be safe and effective.” – Greg Bennett, CBCD

What Treatments are Available that Target HPV?

“There are no drugs approved against the HPV. Current treatments include procedures, such as cryotherapy, conization, and the Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP). These procedures use liquid nitrogen, a surgical knife (scalpel), a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser, or electrical current to remove the abnormal growths caused by the HPV. These growths include cells that harbor the active virus. The procedures do not target cells with the latent virus. Since they do not remove the latent virus, these procedures only produce a temporary remission.” (2) In contrast, Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR were designed to target the latent HPV.

The CBCD therefore recommends that individuals infected with the HPV virus take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR.

About CBCD

The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (https://www.cbcd.net) is a not-for-profit tax-exempt organization under section 501(c) 3 of the IRS tax code. The center’s mission is to advance the research on the biology of chronic disease and to accelerate the discovery of a cure for these diseases. The CBCD first published Dr. Hanan Polansky’s highly acclaimed “Purple” book, entitled “Microcompetition with Foreign DNA and the Origin of Chronic Disease” in 2003. In this book, he explains how foreign DNA fragments can cause many major diseases. The book has been read by more than 5,000 scientists around the world, and has been reviewed in more than 20 leading scientific journals. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
