Business incubator Novotorium has launched a new crowdfunding website, NovoLaunch, to help health, wellness and nutrition businesses and nonprofit organizations gain financial support for initiatives with valuable social missions, according to Stuart Segal, Executive Director of Novotorium.
“Novotorium is an organization that is committed to funding and growing businesses with both a social and financial mission,” Segal said. “We are in business to invest in and provide services to for-profit businesses, but we also meet people in nonprofit organizations who are doing wonderful things for their communities. Novotorium staff created NovoLaunch in conjunction with leading crowdfunding platform developer Launcht after Novotorium founder Gary Baron encouraged his team to expand funding options for early stage businesses with Novotorium and to create ways to support the many worthy not-for-profit organizations Novotorium comes into contact with through its health, wellness and nutrition mission.

NovoLaunch opened this week with an initial campaign by Doylestown Food Co-op, based in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. The Food Co-op provides consumers with a variety of locally grown healthy food choices, including Doylestown Fresh lettuce produced by VEG-E Systems, a company funded by Novotorium. The Food Co-op’s mission connects well with Novotorium and VEG-E Systems’ missions:
