After years of writing tracks for TV and film and working with some notable names as well as up and coming artists, Trinidadian born Producer/ Writer OD Hunte is releasing his first solo music video under his own name. #Limitless is the first track off the same-titled EP which will feature mainly instrumental Pop/Dance music with African vocal samples.
#Limitless vividly portrays OD’s fondness for straightforward, direct and infectious melodies, combined with a rich and detailed sound production value. On a sonic level, it brings back the best of old school analog electronics together with a modern perspective on electronic music production, characterized by multi-layered synth work, including tight bass lines and roomy textures. The song is enriched a step further by the use of glitchy vocal loops that create the melody.
Although this single was created by OD with the main purpose of promoting his skills as a music producer and arranger of original backing tracks and instrumentals, #Limitless is far more than a simple showcase of technicality and expertise. This is a true art project, not only because of the emotional strength of the tune itself, but also for the visual appeal of the stunning video that comes with the song, truly enhancing the ethereal storytelling feel of the tune and bringing more depth to the whole concept.
