New Compare Broadband Poll Reveals Fast Internet Connection Important to Australian House Hunters

Industry: Technology

A new survey has been carried out by Compare Broadband, a leading broadband price comparator

Melbourne, Australia (PRUnderground) May 5th, 2012

A new survey has been carried out by Compare Broadband, a leading broadband price comparator, and found that house hunters in Australia consider fast home internet connectivity vital when choosing a new place to live.

The Compare Broadband research found that 78% of Australians allow quality of internet connectivity to influence their choice of a new home when they are house hunting.

Sarah McDonald, spokesperson for Compare Broadband, commented: “We field a lot of enquiries about regional broadband and where people can get fast, reliable connectivity when moving home.

“Some places have fast connectivity, others have limited broadband still. We can help people compare packages from the likes of Club Telco internet, TPG and other ISPs to decide on whether they move to a particular place. For people working from home for example, mobile broadband is often not enough to be productive.”

Australia’s National Broadband Network (NBN) continues to improve broadband connectivity throughout the land but differences between towns, cities and regions remain. Online comparison specialists like Compare Broadband are able to help people research their proposed new address to source the best broadband package for their needs.

Tips for house hunters
1. A town’s name or reputation does not mean that it offers high quality broadband by default.

2. Speak to potential new neighbours and homeowners to see what their broadband connections are like.

3. Call Compare Broadband on 1300 764 000 to source impartial advice on various ISP offerings in new places.

4. Fibre optic Greenfield housing projects can offer broadband connectivity at speeds of up to 100Mbps.

5. Log on to the NBN website and check out their rollout map for future broadband developments.
