MyMSTeam and MSWorld Announce Alliance
Collaboration Further Extends Support to Multiple Sclerosis Community
San Francisco, CA (PRUnderground) September 10th, 2013
MyMSTeam, the social network for those living with multiple sclerosis, announced today that it has formed an alliance with MSWorld, a leading multiple sclerosis support organization and community. Together, the organizations will continue their pledge to empower people living with multiple sclerosis.
“We are proud to align with MSWorld, an organization that has pioneered the way for those living with MS to find resources and vital information,” said Mary Ray, co-founder of MyMSTeam. “MSWorld shares our passion for bringing together the best MS resources and contributing collectively to the greater MS community. MS is a chronic condition that is filled with more questions then answers. Our complementary services work together to bridge that information gap and provide the MS community the support they need from those who ‘get it’.”
MyMSTeam is the fastest growing social network for those living with MS with more than 6,000 users since it launched in April 2013. At MyMSTeam, people can search and connect with others who are living with MS and have faced the same personal experiences, challenges, treatment options, are the same age and even in the same city. The community is designed so that those living with MS can build real connections and share perspectives and information with others who truly understand the day-to-day challenges of living with MS.
“Ending the isolation that people experience when diagnosed with MS has always been our mission at MSWorld,” says Kathleen Wilson, Founding President. “When we launched our site in 1996, we learned the power of peer support and today we are striving to meet the same needs, worldwide in a socially responsible and current way. Offering live chat, message boards and extensive resources, we continue to implement technology that fosters connections and greater access to information and services. Our alliance with MyMSTeam supports our continued mission of serving those living with MS and brings greater benefits to a community in need.”
