myCircle, the creator of the world’s first socially engaging point-of-sale system is expanding its operations into the US to take advantage of the EMV liability shift.

myCircle, the creator of the world’s first socially engaging point-of-sale system is expanding its operations into the US.  The iPad based POS software has already experienced significant traction in the UK market where Chip and Pin transactions are the norm, and sees the EMV liability shift in the US as the perfect opportunity to expand its operations stateside.

myCircle’s point-of-sale software has two sizable USPs over rival technology providers and these make it a powerful tool for restaurants, coffee shops and other types of eatery.

It’s first USP is the inclusion of a customizable iPhone App, enabling customers to purchase items such as their morning coffee or pastry, and choose a time when they’ll be in to pick it up. With the largest of the coffee shops, Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) already offering a similar experience through their own app, myCircle hopes it’s technology will level the playing field for small and mid-market eateries across the US.

But that’s not just where myCircle packs a punch. Their unique POS software is socially enabled, allowing store managers to push special offers and rewards out to customers who use their App, encouraging brand loyalty and breaking down the barrier between the vendor and consumer.

3 cities have been shortlisted for myCircle’s US expansion – Seattle, San-Francisco and Miami with a decision expected in the coming weeks.
