A new poll carried out by online voucher codes specialist DiscountVouchers.co.uk has this week shown that the financially pressured UK middle classes are more likely to use money-saving discount vouchers than anyone else. British middle income consumers use retail vouchers to maintain a certain standard of living while working to a budget.
The latest survey by the money-saving website focuses on retail consumer habits throughout the UK and shows that the middle class are an online-savvy, brand-inspired set of consumers keen to get as many labels as possible for their money.
The top ten UK places most likely to save money using vouchers are:
• Twickenham
• Guildford
• Truro
• Chester
• Canterbury
• Durham
• Dorchester
• Doncaster
• Motherwell
• Chelmsford
Gerard Doyle, DiscountVouchers CEO, commented: “The likes of Twickenham and Guildford were revealed by our poll to be the places where consumers most like using discount vouchers. Shoppers in these locations are over four times as likely to shop online using voucher codes to save.”
“However it was Liverpool and Leeds that ranked as the UK places where shoppers are least likely to use online vouchers to save themselves money.”
The DiscountVouchers.co.uk poll showed that shoppers in Liverpool and Leeds are almost three times less likely than the average Brit to use voucher codes to save.
