Me Fine Foundation Celebrates 1000 Families Served

Over 1000 critically ill children and their families have all benefitted from Me Fine Foundation's financial and emotional support.

The Me Fine Foundation is proud to announce they have now served over 1000 families with their financial assistance program since the non-profit’s inception. Critically ill children and their families have all benefitted from Me Fine Foundation’s financial support including mortgage/rent assistance to prevent eviction, utility payments to halt disconnection, grocery bills, payment of medical bills, and sometimes covering final hospital expenses.
Me Fine Foundation celebrates its 10th birthday this year and is humbled to provide hope via financial assistance and emotional support, to parents and caregivers whose children are receiving long term medical treatment in Duke and UNC Children’s Hospitals. Parking, gas, food and other living expenses not directly associated with medical care can mount and create hardships. Me Fine Foundation, Inc. acts a stopgap providing funds to the families during the treatment process to help ease financial pressure. In addition, the Foundation funds emotional support programs administered by the hospitals, to help lessen the psychological burden of children and their families as they endure treatment.
“We at Me Fine believe that no child or their parents should have to go through these medical diagnoses alone and without the tireless efforts of our supporters, would be unable to help these families navigate these unimaginable difficulties, ” said Joey Powell, Executive Director of the Me Fine Foundation. “Serving 1000 families is quite an accomplishment and we are extremely grateful to our staff, volunteers and donors,” he added.
