Local Business Owners Expected to Increase Digital Marketing Efforts in 2015

Local small businesses expected to turn to digital marketers in the coming year.
Brewster, NY (PRUnderground) January 8th, 2015
According to the recent CAN Capital “Small Business Health Index,” 58% of small business owners across the country are anticipating growth in the coming year. Because of that optimism, they’re taking positive steps to promote that growth, with 38% looking to expand or try “new forms of advertising/marketing activities (such as online ads, email marketing, etc.) within the next year, up from 31% last quarter,” says the study. Not surprising, local business owners in the tri-state area are jumping on the proverbial bandwagon, seeking the help of digital marketing and website specialists to improve their online searchability, their digital footprints and, ultimately, their bottom lines.
Unlike the old days of traditional advertising, consumers typically turn to the internet now, to find information on the products and services they want to obtain. If a company has a strong online presence it stands a better chance of being found, making a favorable impression and building a relationship with those same consumers. If businesses don’t have a strategy, they run the risk of never standing out from the digital clutter to deliver a clear, effective message to potential customers, and never being found. Now, more than ever, keeping up with this change is becoming apparent to business owners who want to grow.
“The world of marketing and advertising has changed dramatically in the last decade,” says Joe Marconi of Osceola Garage. The owner and founder of the business, located in Baldwin Place, New York, has not only redesigned his website, he’s now using professional companies for his social media, email and blogging campaigns. “In order to stay on the cutting edge and maximize your marketing efforts,” he says, “you need the help of a professional company that can take your business to the next level.”
Robert Ambrosi, owner of Ambrosi Cutlery in North Salem agrees, stating, “A well planned Internet presence covers more ground for your business than any salesman can hope to cover by a mile… Since redesigning our website and optimizing it for search engines, we have had nothing but continued success year after year, with new calls coming in weekly.”
In addition to building a strong company brand and lead generation, Gina Nieves, Chief Marketing Officer and Founder of MarkNet Group, says there are additional reasons that small businesses are beginning to take digital marketing seriously. “When implemented correctly,” she says, “the return on investment (ROI) can far exceed that of traditional marketing strategies. Whatever the size or nature of your business, the internet gives you the power to reach millions of people every year. A qualified web design / digital marketing specialist can provide the owner of a business with the right tools to succeed: knowledge of an industry’s trends and best practices, consistent branding across a variety of platforms, and assessment of how marketing campaigns are working based on real, measurable data.” MarkNet Group, a web development and digital marketing agency, is located in Brewster, New York.
The “Small Business Health Index,” which was powered by SurveyMonkey™, measured responses from over 700 small business owners on market trends, personal business goals, industry challenges, and their outlook for the coming months. If their findings are accurate, digital marketers and website companies will likely have their hands full this year.
