‘Leading Lady’, a Rom Com of Jurassic Proportions, starring Katie McGrath, gets U.S. Premiere.

Summer Hill Films, a mainstream boutique label specializing in U.S. theatrical and worldwide film sales and distribution, is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Mar Vista Entertainment for the U.S. theatrical and digital release of ‘Leading Lady’, starring Jurassic World’s Katie McGrath and Gil Bellows (Shawshank Redemption, Girl on the Edge).

In addition to playing Zara in Jurassic World, McGrath is best known for her role of Morgana on the cult TV show, Merlin, and will star in Guy Ritchie’s Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur alongside Charlie Hunnam and Jude Law, opening July 22.

Leading Lady, a South Africa/UK co-production from writer/director Henk Pretorius and Dark Matter Studios, is being hailed as Notting Hill for the next millennium, and stars McGrath as as a beautiful, idealistic British ingénue who journeys to Africa to prepare for the film role of her career.

She finds herself embraced by a quirky community in a small South African town where an unlikely romance develops between her and a cynical farmer who teaches her there’s more to life, and love, than lights…camera…action.

In anticipation of a wider theatrical release, Leading Lady will open at Laemmle Music Hall in Beverly Hills and the Laemmle Playhouse 7 in Pasadena beginning June 19^th for a special one-week engagement prefaced by a ‘See it Before Theaters’ digital premiere on June 16^th.
