The Intellectual Conservative, a site devoted to the conservative principles of William F. Buckley, is pleased to announce that it will carry a five-part excerpt of Vik Khanna’s new e-book, Your Personal Affordable Care Act: How to Avoid Obamacare.

“Vik’s e-book is a call to arms for people who want the government to get out of their health lives, but are also aware enough to understand that personal health freedom requires responsibility and accountability,” said Rachel Alexander, the site’s founder.

Your Personal Affordable Care Act is a vigorous critique of President Obama’s signature legislative achievement, the contentious and persistently controversial Affordable Care Act. Said author Vik Khanna, “The President made a serious miscalculation in believing that what Americans needed was to attend a medical care buffet. Unfortunately, the Affordable Care Act is mostly an exercise in enriching and empowering the medical care industry, which is what got us into this mess in the first place.”

Associate Editor Steve Laib echoed Alexander’s comment, saying, “Vik examines themes that very few conservative writers have pursued so fearlessly. He is relentless in delivering the message of exercising personal responsibility, being accountable to yourself and your family, using the medical care system only when you need to, and being an aggressive consumer who demands that industry work better and more efficiently.”

Excerpt 1 (January 5) is from the Prologue to the book

Excerpt 2 (January 12) will feature a selection from the Introduction

Excerpt 3 (January 19) will outline the steps Americans must to take to enhance their own well-being

Excerpt 4 (January 26) will delineate the six big lies about American healthcare that drove Obamacare

Excerpt 5 (February 2) will bring the series to a close with a prediction about where we are headed if we all refuse to change

Khanna, Alexander, and Laib are in agreement that, as Khanna writes, “Time is running short. The way to ruin Obamacare’s sickness-based vision is not to repeal it, but to render it irrelevant. The way to render it irrelevant is to make yourself into something that this President of the United States, unlike his iconic Democratic ancestor [John F. Kennedy], believes you cannot be: a highly health-competent adult who interacts with the healthcare industry as little as possible and whose personal grit and determination to re-make himself or herself makes the country a better, safer, stronger place.”

Your Personal Affordable Care Act: How To Avoid Obamacare is endorsed by health economist and Harvard-trained lawyer Al Lewis, The Health Care Blog’s Editor John Irvine, former Director of Global Benefits for Walmart Tom Emerick, and SEALFit Master Coach Michael Ostrolenk.

The e-book is available now for $4.95 at Amazon.com and Smashwords.com.
