Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) Can Cause Chronic Fatigue; CBCD Reviews Medical Evidence
Industry: Health & Fitness
HBV can cause a “lack of energy and motivation (both physical and mental).” (1) The CBCD reviews medical evidence and recommends two natural HBV remedies.

“Infected with hepatitis B virus (HBV)? We recommend Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin.” – Greg Bennett, CBCD
Dr. Yamada and colleagues wrote in a study that “worldwide, an estimated two billion people have been infected with HBV and more than 240 million have chronic infections.” (2) The hepatitis B virus is known to cause chronic fatigue. “Often, the symptom of fatigue has a gradual onset and the person may not be aware of how much energy they have lost until they try to compare their ability to complete tasks from one time frame to another. They may presume that their fatigue is due to aging and ignore the symptom. This may lead to a delay in seeking care.” (1) It is important to note that the CDC says “While fatigue can last for a prolonged period of time, the presence of chronic fatigue is different than chronic fatigue syndrome, which has specific set of two criteria. In order for the condition to be considered chronic fatigue syndrome, a person must “Have severe chronic fatigue for at least six months or longer with other known medical conditions (whose manifestation includes fatigue) excluded by clinical diagnosis; and concurrently have four or more of the following symptoms: post-exertional malaise, impaired memory or concentration, unrefreshing sleep, muscle pain, multi-joint pain without redness or swelling, tender cervical or axillary lymph nodes, sore throat, and headache.” (1)
The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) recommends that people infected with the hepatitis B virus take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR. The formula of these natural antiviral products was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the CBCD in two clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. The studies showed that the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR formula is effective against the hepatitis B virus, and other viruses. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the first, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs. Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with the HBV … reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR.” (3) The study authors also wrote that, “We observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (3)
Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are natural antiviral dietary supplements. Their formula contains five natural ingredients: Selenium, Camellia Sinesis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. The first ingredient is a trace element, and the other four are plant extracts. Each ingredient and its dose was chosen through a scientific approach. Scientists at polyDNA, the company that invented and patented the formula, scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals, and identified the safest and most effective natural ingredients against latent viruses. To date, Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are the only natural antiviral products on the market with published clinical studies that support their claims.
Dr. Wedro and Dr. Davis list the symptoms of chronic fatigue. “There may be lack of motivation or the ability to begin an activity; the person tires easily once the activity has begun; and the person has mental fatigue or difficulty with concentration and memory to start or complete an activity.” (1)
In addition to fatigue, HBV also causes symptoms, such as: “Mild fever, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting, constant discomfort on the right side of the belly under the rib cage. (That’s where the liver is located.) Diarrhea or constipation muscle aches or joint pain, skin rash, (and) jaundice. This means that the skin and whites of the eyes look yellow. Jaundice is a major sign of liver damage. It usually appears after other symptoms have started to go away.” (4)
In light of the above information, the CBCD recommends that individuals infected with the hepatitis B virus take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR.

The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (http://www.cbcd.net) is a not-for-profit tax-exempt organization under section 501(c) 3 of the IRS tax code. The center’s mission is to advance the research on the biology of chronic disease and to accelerate the discovery of a cure for these diseases. The CBCD first published Dr. Hanan Polansky’s highly acclaimed “Purple” book, entitled “Microcompetition with Foreign DNA and the Origin of Chronic Disease” in 2003. In this book, he explains how foreign DNA fragments can cause many major diseases. The book has been read by more than 5,000 scientists around the world, and has been reviewed in more than 20 leading scientific journals. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
