The White House in November announced that California Governor Brown and Los Angeles new Mayor Garcetti have been added to the White House Climate Change Initiative Group.

David Joseph, Chairman & CEO, would like for House Energy & Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton and Ranking Member Henry Waxman to “provide greater support for renewable energy solutions which would minimize price spikes in natural gas under renewable fuel standards legislation and join California by transitioning the Federal Government to renewable energy.” According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the northeast is increasingly reliant on natural gas for power generation while California is ranked among the top state in the nation in net electricity generation from renewable resources and leads the nation in solar energy.

As United States Secretary of Energy, Dr. Ernest Moniz is tasked with implementing the Department’s mission in support of President Obama’s goals of growing the economy, enhancing security and protecting the environment. World Energy not only advances all of President’s Obama energy strategy but promotes American leadership in science and clean energy technology innovation while reaching to meet the world’s energy needs using clean technology.

Secretary Hagel of the Department of Defense, calls climate change a “serious global challenge” and fossil fuel energy use contributes to climate change. President Obama has called on Secretary Hagel to explore energy cost reduction alternatives because energy security and national security are linked.
