With the amazing euro exchange rate ( see  ABTA  for latest Travel news) , Booking a villa holiday in Crete has become this years ” intelligent choice”  so  we have had to source more villas to our Crete Holiday Villa  collection, including the charming Villa Lithos in Megala Horafia

Less than 0.5 kms, as the crow flies, from beautiful Souda Bay, guests at Villa Lithos can look forward to uninterrupted sea views from its lovely terraced gardens and full width balcony. The road to the beach is a little more circuitous and so  it is a little short of a 10 mins drive via the pretty village of Megala Chorafia, to the sandy beaches of Kalami and laid back Kalives beyond,  but with the sight of the bluest of seas as a constant companion,  it somehow feels less.

Traditionally built in stone, this pretty Villa,  Lithos sits on the lower slopes of Mount Malaxa , a kilometre away, where you’ll find three tavernas and  a mini market. Furnished with brightly cushioned Cretan sofas and solid dark wood  dining table and kitchen cupboards, the living area is one comfortable space where guests can cook eat and relax together and where, equipped with a TV and open fireplace, it is comfortable on the occasional chillier evening at either end of the season. Of course, most of the summer the double doors will be opened wide onto the dining terrace where an attractive purpose built barbecue with Cretan oven offers an attractive alternative venue for cooking and dining in.

Three stone steps lead up to the ground floor twin bedroom (A/C) which has double doors to its own patio and a bathroom with a shower.

Polished wood stairs sweep up from the living room to the first floor, where the double (AC) and a further twin bedroom (A/C) share the family bathroom with hydro massage bath and shower over. French doors from both bedrooms and the landing open on to the superb sea view balcony running the width of the Villas. Outside there is plenty of space for relaxation by the beautiful salt water pool (no chlorine!) and in the garden descending in grassy terraces, towards the olive groves below, More about this stunning Villa >>>>
