Respected health science educators/Goodheart-Willcox authors will be in Denver, CO, October 15-17 to present at the 2014 National Health Science Curriculum Conference.

Goodheart-Willcox Authors to Speak at 2014 National Health Science Curriculum Conference

Respected health science educators-authors, Lois Ritter, Linda Stanhope, Dorothy Winger, and Sue Blahnik will be in Denver, CO, October 15-17 to present at the 2014 National Health Science Curriculum Conference.

Lois Ritter, EdD, will present Problem-Based Learning: A Technological Toolbox. Dr. Ritter is Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing & Health Sciences at California State University, East Bay in Hayward, CA. She is lead author of the forthcoming Goodheart-Willcox text Medical Law and Professional Ethics.

Linda Stanhope, coauthor of Goodheart-Willcox’s upcoming Introduction to Medical Terminology, will present Old School/New School Approach to Medical Terminology. She is a Health Science Instructor in the Amarillo Independent School District (TX) and also a Dual Credit Instructor for Emergency Medical Services at Amarillo College.

Dorothy Winger and Sue Blahnik will discuss Developing & Assessing Literacy Skills in the Health Science Classroom. Ms. Winger is Health Science Teacher at Madison East High School (WI). Besides coauthoring the coming Introduction to Health Science from Goodheart-Willcox, she is coauthor of the Wisconsin Standards for Health Science. Ms. Blahnik, an educational consultant based in Sun Prairie, WI, is coauthor of Introduction to Health Science. In addition to 40 years of teaching experience, she has served as President of the Wisconsin Health Occupations Professional Educators, presented at national and state conferences, and has been awarded several grants to support health science instruction and service learning.
