Today, Functional MobileWear executive Max Davis announced that FMW will introduce a new product via crowdfunding leader, Kickstarter.com. The new product is the MDP FlexxRack Car Kit.
“Now that we’ve preserved the global rights to this very unique and useful product we are eager to test proof of concept via Kickstarter,” said Mr. Davis. “The MDP FlexxRack takes our wearable device enclosures concept to another level.”
“We produce products that provide the fastest safe visual access to your device as well as functionality. The FlexxRack provides that for any driver in any kind of vehicle and yes, we are very excited – the market is massive!”
MDP stands for modular device pocket and FMW has been a pioneer designing and developing a variety of affordable wearable mobile device products since inception in early 2013. The United States Army has tested the MDPX kit and has recently requested another round of testing this April with some suggested refinements. An announcement is forthcoming.
“We are a very progressive developer and we choose to introduce each new product via crowdfunding,” said Mr. Davis. “Although the results of each campaign will not deter us from developing any particular product, it certainly helps us tweak and refine.”
