If you have ever wondered just how much effort the Ford Motor Company put into improving upon their fuel saving technologies, please read on. The Motoring giant has just released information regarding not only their advances, but just how they are carrying them out.
Over the past five years, the team employed by Ford has doubled in size, and have produced technologies and features that include the EcoBoost engines, hybrid vehicles, and Electric cars. These are just some of what has caused the steady increase in department numbers over the years. The area has been growing so much that Ford is now converting its largest research and development laboratory for the use of its fuel saving technicians. According to Ford, the 185,000 square foot advanced engineering centre located in Michigan will soon be converted to dedicated premises for the electric vehicle department.
One of the main reasons behind the expansion is due to just how Ford technology has advanced in recent years; by the end of 2012, Ford will be offering nine vehicles that will reach above40 miles per gallon, ranging from EcoBoost engines to full electric cars such as the Focus Electric.
With fuel prices on the increase, now is a great time to not only invest in the future but to invest in a car that can save you plenty of money!
