The UK’s long running monthly motoring magazine and website, What Car?, holds awards at the beginning of each year for motor vehicles and manufacturers in a wide ranging list of categories.

The UK’s long running monthly motoring magazine and website, What Car?, holds awards at the beginning of each year for motor vehicles and manufacturers in a wide ranging list of categories.
This year is the first time that the company have decided to release a long list of vehicles that are being considered for each category. What the list certainly shows is the best cars from each category, with the final winner from each award category being decided upon by judges before its ‘Car of the Year Awards’ take place on January the 11th.
The Ford Motor Company has a grand total of seven vehicles within the released long list, with two vehicles actually up against each other in one category!
The ever popular Ford Focus, both in its estate model and hatchback version, is up for the coveted best small family car award and best estate. The Ford Fiesta is up against seven other vehicles for the best small family car, and both the Ford Galaxy and S-Max are in the best MPV category.
The What Car? Awards are extremely highly regarded and anticipated by the motor industry each year, not only because they are one of the largest of their type within the UK, but also because the intended audience for the website and magazine is that of consumers, rather than dedicated enthusiasts.
With so many current Ford cars for sale for sale up for nomination, this can be shown as a true sign of Ford’s dominance and position within the UK Motoring industry. Many people will hold off from purchasing vehicles until the awards are announced in January, which, from the looks of it, will be very good news for Ford Dealerships around the country such as the Foray Motor Group.
