European Cup winner opens new sports ground at Dolphin Holidays

The Tencreek Holiday Park near Looe welcomed a very special visitor recently, as former European Cup winning footballer Allan Evans made a guest appearance to open a brand new sports ground at the Dolphin Holidays site.

Evans, who became a household name when he captained Aston Villa in the 1980s and was part of the continent-conquering side that were also victorious in the Super Cup, made the journey to Tencreek alongside our famous mascot, Deano the Dolphin, to officially unveil yet another great facility at a resort that is now surely one of the best destinations for Cornwall holidays.

The ground will be available for use by both guests staying at Tencreek and members of the local community, and its opening was greeted with enthusiasm by the 150 people who turned out to mark the occasion and participate in a one-off training session and penalty shootout run by Allan himself.
