Educating the Children, one of the UK's foremost childrens charities, this week receives the backing and support of one of the countrys leading Web Search Optimisation

London, UK (PRUnderground) August 22nd, 2012

Educating the Children, one of the UK’s foremost children’s charities, this week receives the backing and support of one of the country’s leading Web Search Optimisation agencies. Alchemy Viral, based in Richmond, Surry, will support Educating the Children in its work in Africa.

Educating the Children engages in projects and raises awareness about children’s education levels in the Masai Mara, Kenya. Educating the Children also has a focus on highlighting the Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and enforced childhood marriages so prevalent in the Masai Mara.

Famous as a tourist destination with westerners for safaris and wildlife, the Masai Mara is nonetheless home to many neglected and abused citizens. Educating the Children was established after one of the charity’s founders visited the region and found that school conditions were poor, with not enough teachers, too many children per classroom and poor education levels.

Educating the Children was also founded to highlight the plight of girls in Masai Mara who endure FGM and enforced childhood marriages, often as young as 8. SEO agency Alchemy Viral Managing Director Andreas Voniatis wants his company’s support to contribute to projects like the current one for building a secondary school for girls in Masai Mara.

“I have great sympathy with the aims of ETC. My daughter is just 3 months old. Like every parent in every country I have high hopes for her. I can’t imagine her being denied an education, or even worse being a victim of enforced marriage or FGM”, said  Andreas Voniatis.

Andreas goes on to say that Alchemy Viral is taking support of the charity very seriously:

“I want to spread the word about the charity’s work. We will be quite overt in our support of ETC to all of the people we communicate with, be it by email, our website, or corporate activities. We are also supporting the charity with what we do best… raising their profile on the web. We have already created a Facebook page for the charity and added a link to our Facebook page. We are Tweeting regularly about ETC and teaching them also the importance of regular publishing and how to earn coverage across the web”, continued Andreas.

Sonal Kadchha, co-founder of ETC, is delighted to have the backing of Alchemy Viral:

“I’m very pleased that Andreas has come on board to support ETC – not only is he contributing financially but his help in increasing our online presence is invaluable given the importance of social media in the world today”, commented Sonal.

Alchemy Viral’s Andreas Voniatis will travel to Masai Mara to see Educating the Children’s work for himself in the near future. Educating the Children recently said thanks for Alchemy Viral’s support by reporting that one of the new school’s classrooms will be named after Andreas’ daughter, Julia.
