EBV May Cause Hemolytic Anemia; CBCD Reviews the Medical Evidence

Industry: Health & Fitness

EBV may destroy red blood cells faster than bone marrow can produce them, which creates a shortage of these cells. (1) The CBCD reviews the link between EBV and Anemia.

“Are you infected with EBV? We recommend taking Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR.” – Greg Bennett, CBCD

The Epstein Barr Virus (EBV) has been linked to a dangerous form of anemia that can be life-threatening. Anemia is a condition marked by a deficiency of red blood cells or of hemoglobin in the blood, resulting in pallor and weariness. According to the Johns Hopkins Health Library, a possible cause of extrinsic hemolytic anemia is EBV. In this condition, “red blood cells are produced healthy but are later destroyed by becoming trapped in the spleen, destroyed by infection (as with EBV), or destroyed from drugs that can affect red blood cells. In severe cases the destruction takes place in the circulation.” (1) In some cases, extrinsic hemolytic anemia is temporary and resolves over several months. Other types can become chronic with periods of remissions and recurrence.

The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) therefore recommends that individuals infected with the Epstein Barr Virus take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR. The formula of these natural antiviral products was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the CBCD in two clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. The studies showed that the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR formula is effective against EBV and other viruses. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the first, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs. Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with the EBV (and other viruses)…reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR.” (2) The study authors also wrote that, “We observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (3) In addition, this natural antiviral was recently proven to reduce mental and physical fatigue in a post-marketing clinical study that followed FDA guidelines.

Both products can be ordered online on the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR websites.

Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin are natural antiviral dietary supplements. Their formula contains five natural ingredients: Selenium, Camellia Sinesis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. The first ingredient is a trace element, and the other four are plant extracts. Each ingredient and its dose was chosen through a scientific approach. Scientists at polyDNA, the company that invented and patented the formula, scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals, and identified the safest and most effective natural ingredients against latent viruses. To date, Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin are the only natural antiviral products on the market with published clinical studies that support their claims.

What are the symptoms of EBV caused hemolytic anemia?

The symptoms include: “abnormal paleness or lack of color of the skin, jaundice, or yellowing of the skin, eyes, and mouth, dark-colored urine, fever, weakness, dizziness, confusion, intolerance to physical activity, enlargement of the spleen and liver, increased heart rate (tachycardia), (and) heart murmur.” (1)

Are there treatments against EBV caused hemolytic anemia?

“Treatment for hemolytic anemia will vary depending on the cause of the illness. Treatment may include: blood transfusions, corticosteroid medications, treatment with intravenous immune globulin (to strengthen the immune system).” (1)

Are there treatments specifically against the EBV?

“A few antiviral drugs are available that were shown to inhibit EBV replication in cell culture. These drugs include the acyclic nucleoside analogues aciclovir, ganciclovir, penciclovir, and their respective prodrugs valaciclovir, valganciclovir and famciclovir, the acyclic nucleotide analogues cidofovir and adefovir, and the pyrophosphate analogue foscarnet. However, clinical studies have shown that these drugs are mostly ineffective in humans.” (2). In contrast, there are two natural antiviral products with a formula that was shown to reduce EBV symptoms in two post-marketing clinical studies.

People with a chronic EBV infection face a poor outcome. In addition to hemolytic anemia, they can also develop “life-threatening complications including hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (a condition that causes the immune system to attack the body’s own tissues), organ failure, and malignant lymphomas (cancer).” (3)

The CBCD therefore suggests that individuals infected with EBV take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR.

About CBCD

The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (https://www.cbcd.net) is a not-for-profit tax-exempt organization under section 501(c) 3 of the IRS tax code. The center’s mission is to advance the research on the biology of chronic disease and to accelerate the discovery of a cure for these diseases. The CBCD first published Dr. Hanan Polansky’s highly acclaimed “Purple” book, entitled “Microcompetition with Foreign DNA and the Origin of Chronic Disease” in 2003. In this book, he explains how foreign DNA fragments can cause many major diseases. The book has been read by more than 5,000 scientists around the world, and has been reviewed in more than 20 leading scientific journals. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
