DogSpin takes photos of almost every dog run in Manhattan, New York City

New York, NY (PRUnderground) January 19th, 2014

New York City Dog portal,, has taken photographs of almost every dog run in Manhattan, letting dog owners view dog runs from the comfort of their desk, before heading out to visit one with their pooch. The site also has information on the type of surface in the dog run (for example dirt or cement), a link to the official dog website if available, and tips on using the dog run.

“Dog runs in NYC come in all shapes and sizes” stated DogSpin Publisher Brian Scully. ” Some are huge and allow dogs to really run around, some are paved, some are natural and some are pretty poorly maintained. We want people to get an idea of what kind of run it is before walking their dog over to it.”

There are over 25 dog runs and parks in Manhattan that allow dogs to run off-leash. Because most Manhattan dog owners do not have yards at their home, these dog runs become a very important environment for dogs to get exercise and socialize with other dogs.

DogSpin hopes to photograph the dog runs in Brooklyn and Queens in 2014.
