Doctors Express Urgent Care Owners Tom Kelly, Ron Krippner and Dr. Thomas Brown officially opened their second Connecticut location with a Grand Opening VIP reception and ribbon cutting ceremony in West Hartford on June 19. Afterwards, West Hartford Mayor Scott Slifka, members of the West Hartford Town Council and Chamber of Commerce, and over 150 healthcare professionals and business leaders, enjoyed an elegant reception with gourmet refreshments provided by Café Louise.
“We have had a fantastic time meeting people from all facets of the West Hartford culture and community as we have a very local focus with plans to partner with vendors, consultants and medical professionals in town,” said Kelly. “Our goal is to make a positive contribution to the region and to the future of Connecticut’s healthcare landscape. Medical Director Dr. Tom Brown, a West Hartford resident, conducted tours of walk in clinic at 1030 Boulevard that provides convenient, superior treatment for injuries and illnesses at a lower-cost than a hospital emergency room.
“I am thrilled to be treating people in my home town and the surrounding area,” said Dr. Brown. “Our state-of-the-art equipment and lab provides fast and accurate testing to help us offer quality care in under an hour. And the kids will love seeing a flat screen T.V. in every exam room!”
The state of the art facility has its own on-site laboratory, pharmacy and digital x-ray equipment enabling doctors to diagnose and treat illnesses, dispense medication and set broken bones, all under one roof. Additional services includes all typical urgent care services: pre-employment exams, drug testing, breath alcohol tests, sports and school physicals, DOT physicals, pre-surgical physicals and vaccinations, including travel vaccinations. Urgent Care West Hartford, CT will accept most insurance’s including Medicaid and Medicare, the state ACA exchange plans as well as cash and credit cards for self pay patients.
