Doctors Express of Danbury Medical Director Receives Civil Surgeon Designation

Thomas R. Brown MD of Doctors Express Danbury has received his Civil Surgeon Certification, paving the way for Doctors Express to meet the needs of the incoming immigration population entering the Greater Danbury area.

There are few such designations in the state of Connecticut, so this appointment is a vital step in the Doctors Express mission: to be able to fully serve the general community, and to simplify an often complex process of the health care elements of the immigration & citizenship process.

People applying for citizenship will now be able to utilize Doctors Express for the entire healthcare process, rather than having to go through multiple steps in various locations.

Tom Kelly, managing Owner of Doctors Express is especially excited about this.

“In choosing our location we studied the demographics of the area and researched the needs of the population of Danbury and surrounding communities.  Through that process we identified that the health care elements of immigration can be cumbersome and in our effort to better serve the entire community it was important for us to achieve this designation and help streamline this process.  Many of our staff members, me included, are 1^st or 2^nd generation immigrants.  We are particularly sensitive to the magnitude of this process and the effect it has on the lives of immigrants and the generations who follow them.  We are honored to be able to help folks through this early stage of the process.”
