Doctors Express of Danbury, CT has released the third of an ongoing series of video blogs , this one aimed at educating the public about ticks and Lyme Disease.
The ongoing series, called The Doctors Express Medical Minute featuring the Danbury Doctors Express Medical Director Dr. Thomas Brown, is designed to give time sensitive, seasonal and geo- specific advice in a crisp one minute format. Future Medical Minutes will feature other Doctors Express providers speaking on various topics of healthcare and prevention.
Dr. Brown states ” In the Northeast especially, deer ticks abound and Lyme Disease is a real threat. In this Medical Minute, I talk about the warning signs, and how to differentiate between deer ticks and other ticks, and gives solid tips on treatment if you are bit by a tick and unsure if it is a deer tick.”
“The concept of the Medical Minute is to reach out to the public to help them help themselves. Simple conditions such as allergies can be controlled with some guidance from us, but may not neccesitate a trip to the doctor. We’d like to help our patients save a possible co-pay, and come to us for their more “urgent” needs. Sometimes all it takes is some guidance.”
