December 5th Music Event To Bring Attention To Hunger In Oregon

A Berry Good Benefit will take place on December 5th in Portland, Oregon. The event will act as a platform to gain donations and spread awareness about hunger in The United States.

On December 5th, 2010, A Berry Good Benefit will take place. The event starts at 2pm and ends at 10pm. The event takes place at Plan B, which is located at 1305 SE 8th Avenue in Portland, Oregon. The event is age restricted to 21 and up. Proof of age identification will be strictly enforced. The cost of the event is eight dollars, or six dollars with a canned food donation.

The event includes popular local performers and a raffle for prizes. The night’s entertainment includes: Radiophlyer, Bittersoundfase, Shatterbrains, Of Former Fame,Gordon Avenue, O.U.T., Jackbone Dixie, Black Haze, and The Tigerlilies (local belly dancing troupe). Raffle prizes include a $200.00 gift certificate provided by Tattoos by Memo, a media biography for bands (or artists) from JumpStart Ink (a $75.00 value) , a ninety-second music engineered track by 60/40 Audio Werks (a $500.00 value), and A Beatles prize pack worth over $130 donated by Music Millennium. In addition, the performers will also be donating merchandise to be raffled off. Costs for raffle tickets, raffle times and details will be announced at the event.

Fifty percent of the proceeds will be go to Bridge of Faith Ministries with the other fifty percent of the proceeds going to Oregon Food Bank. Plan B will host a food barrel at their 8th avenue location starting on December 1st. Tickets for the event can be purchased at the door on the

Bridge of Faith Ministry provides hot meals and prayer. They strive to provide comfort in any way, including providing food, clothing, resources, computer/phone services, transportation, and more. Oregon Food Bank distributes food to agencies that feed people who are hungry
throughout Oregon and Clark County, Wash. Oregon Food Bank also works to address the root causes of hunger through public policy advocacy and education programs. Berry Good
Productions is a local music agency that has a goal to promote great music while bringing attention to social issues within the Pacific Northwest.
