New York, NY (PRUnderground) October 8th, 2014
Crowdnetic, the leading provider of technology and market data solutions to the crowdfunded securities and peer-lending industries, today releases its third quarter PIPR (“Private Issuers Publicly Raising”) data analysis report for the period ending September 30, 2014. A year has passed since the effective date of the SEC rules implementing Title II of the JOBS Act, which created a watershed event for the alternative asset industry, allowing private companies to publicly solicit funds after more than 80 years of prohibition.
Through CrowdWatch, Crowdnetic has tracked these raises since inception of this new asset class and has aggregated and normalized data for 4,712 PIPRs, which collectively have received $385,840,413 in recorded capital commitments. Of these companies, 3,787 are still actively raising capital, having received approximately $283.2 million since inclusion on the CrowdWatch platform. The industry is still in its infancy but continues to exhibit tremendous growth and the potential for far more.
“We are witnessing history with the year anniversary as the implementation of Title II of the JOBS Act is a historic event,” says Luan Cox, CEO and Co-founder of Crowdnetic. “We are honored to be a part of this amazing industry as providers of the much-needed market data transparency for this new asset class.”
Crowdnetic’s proprietary data platform, CrowdWatch, and its private offerings content suite on MarketWatch, includes data from thirteen leading real estate, debt and equity crowdfunding platforms. This report is co-sponsored by Springboard Enterprises, Ventureneer, SparkMarket, RealPartner and LendZoan.
